This is all I got on video over the last week. Schwartz is learning basic hoop jumps, Chomsky is working on a jump rollover, and Balzac is jumping 1.10 (Ring2 max) with no problem.

I love patterns, especially groups of animals making patterns. I love flocks, schools, and herds, it’s all very psychedelic. A circus troupe needs to be able to work in unison and synchronized, like a flock of birds or a pack of wolves. Our drills challenge both the body and mind of you and your dog. No experience is necessary.
I found this basket yesterday, brought it home, and augmented it for this trick. This is Schwartz's second session with the prop and I'm pleased with his progress. The next step is a little more independence and less help from me. For the Foot Stall, I'm trying to teach him to walk from foot to foot, but really I need to gain more control of myself, so I can be a more stable foundation (isn't that always the case in dog training no matter what exercise you are doing).
Having a blast doing some routine building with advanced students and the classic "Paws on the Wall" trick (made famous by Petey from Our Gang) with our Circus 1 Class. We have way too much fun, this should be illegal. If you want to learn trick dog training and you live in the Bay Area, Oakland, Berkeley San Francisco you should come to take a class.
I want to start teaching this trick in our Circus 2 Class, but before I begin to teach a new trick to the general public I like to thoroughly test my approach to teaching that trick. So far I have tried the process out on 6 dogs with great success, I know how to describe the steps and tweak them for different types. Six isn't enough to be truly confident but I'm psyched about the method and I'm pretty certain I can teach this to any dog and handler. I will know much more soon!

A glimpse into what I have been working on over the last week. Schwartz begins to learn the BackFlip and then hoists a basket to the roof, Balzac practices some Ringsport agility and obedience (Palisade set at 2.30 and the Hurdle set at 1.20). Schwartz works on building distance on "Bang You're Dead," Balzac practices the Backward Weave and then rolls himself in a blanket. Located in Oakland, CA.

In this video, you will see a few moments of our summer classes in the Bay Area, CA, and other amazing stuff too. In the clip with the screaming kids, I just wanted to show how quickly these kids volunteered to put their toys away if they had a chance to race a Jack Russell that was trained to do the same task. The next clip of me with a random dog in the Bow position was a Chilean street dog, super clever with tons of character, he came to my seminar in Santiago Chile so I did some training with him. This is a clip of our Circus 1.5 class. The handler had some difficulty but with a little coaching, it was resolved. This clip really shows what Canine Circus School is like without a bunch of editing.
